Oral and Maxillofacial Reconstructive Surgery

Professor: Undecided
In our lab, we have performed morphological study using the pre-and postoperative data obtained from patients carrying cleft lip and palate or jaw deformities in order to establish safer and more convincing surgeries. In addition, mouse genetic approach is employed to study the craniomaxillofacial development, pathoetiology, and the molecular mechanisms. Clinically, we have been also engaged in the treatment for oral cancer patients through the jaw reconstruction, for which we have studied morphological changes. Enrolled postgraduate students might have an opportunity to participate in collaborative research with associated basic dental science lab.
