READY TO GO ABROAD PROGRAM (RTGA)
“Ready to Go Abroad” is a program designed to support students who are planning to study abroad. We help you improve your English skills and prepare for presentations in English so you can feel confident and ready for your international experience.
With the support of the Shikata LC coordinator and Associate Professor Tim Clemmison from the Graduate School of General Education and global studies from Tsushima Campus, we provide support for daily English conversation practice and scientific English presentations for students preparing to study abroad.

- READY TO GO ABROAD/ PRE DEPARTURE PRESENTATION
On February 17, Shikata Learning Community hosted a Pre-Departure Presentation for a group of graduate students from the Faculty of Health Sciences who are ready to go abroad to Singapore and Indonesia. The students participated in READY TO GO ABROAD 12-week training program (one hour per week). During the training, they learned how to communicate using daily English conversation and how to prepare their research presentations in English. During the presentation session, the audience actively participated, and there was an engaging discussion between the presenters and attendees. Although one of the biggest challenges was responding to questions in English, all of the “Ready to Go Abroad” participants did their very best to answer confidently. Congratulations to all of you, and thank you very much for joining the SHIKATA LC activities!
