Cardiovascular Physiology

We conduct research with the aim of understanding integrated physiological functions from the molecule to the cell, organ, and individual levels, with the central theme of elucidating the sensing mechanism of mechanical stress.
Our research mainly focuses on the cardiovascular systems including cardiomyopathy, myocardial infarction, and cardiac regenerative medicine. We are also interested in space biology and medicine.
We welcome students eager enough to aim for challenging achievements such as publication in high impact journals and patent acquisition.
