Gastroenterology and Hepatology

We research on inflammatory and neoplastic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, and hepato-pancreato-biliary system, and do attempt to elucidate the pathologic condition and to develop the early diagnostic method and novel therapy. Recently, we focus on oxidase stress, microbiome, glycosylation, liquid biopsy, gene therapy, extracellular vesicle, microRNA and organoid, effectively utilize valuable patients-derived samples acquired using endoscopy or ultrasonography, and thus, aim to create innovative knowledge directly linked to clinical application.
