Legal medicine has the essential role to answer the legal problems requiring medical wisdom/technique: determination of cause and manner of death, analysis of the nature of injury, detection of toxins/chemicals, personal identification and so on. The most important mission for forensic pathologist is analyzing social and medical backgrounds of the dead to improve the quality of life, prevent diseases/injuries, and develop the social support systems for the living.
