Longevity and Social Medicine

Geriatrics, or geriatric medicine, is a specialty that focuses on health care of older people. It aims to promote health by preventing and treating diseases and disabilities in older adults. The medical care for older people has many problems, and one of which is the lack of evidence in terms of efficacy and safety. We will improve basic, clinical and social medical research, and will lead to the development of specific treatment guidelines, aiming for a vibrant super-aging society.
