Orthopaedic Surgery

Department of Orthopedic Surgery promotes cutting-edge medical treatments and researches with the groups specialized to bone and soft tissue tumor surgery, spine surgery, rheumatoid arthritis, trauma surgery, joint surgery, sports medicine, pediatric orthopedics, and rehabilitation. A wide variety of research projects has been conducted: development of novel therapy for bone and soft tissue tumors, comprehensive understanding of spine disorders, bone regeneration using new artificial materials, mechanical stress and cartilage metabolism, regeneration of cartilage, ligament, tendon, and meniscus, therapeutic innovation for arthritis, development of new orthopaedic implants, development of orthopaedic surgery using the navigation system and surgical robots, etc.
