Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery
Professor: ANDO Mizuo
We are conducting various research in sensory organs including hearing, equilibrium, and olfaction, as well as head and neck oncology. In the hearing research, we are trying to develop new treatments for acute hearing loss and hereditary hearing loss by applying molecular biology and genetics. In the olfactory perception, we are studying the regeneration of the sense of smell and the reconstruction of neural circuits. In oncology, we aim to combine histopathology and genomic medicine to overcome head and neck cancer.
