We are particularly focusing on mitochondria, which support cellular function in multiple ways, not only through energy metabolism, but also by regulating Ca<sup>2+<\/sup> signalling and cell death pathways. Our goal is to integrate and reconstruct complicated phenomena on a computer, to quantitatively understand the logic and to develop new methods to manipulate them.
