To Professors and Students… Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune neurological disease that is very common among people of foreign descent and has been rapidly increasing in Japan in recent years.
Professor Jennifer Gommerman is an internationally recognized leader in MS research and has been vigorously advancing research in this field.
In particular, her research findings—demonstrating that IgA plasma cells secrete IL-10 and exert a suppressive effect on autoimmune diseases (such as EAE, a model for MS)—have had a significant impact.
In this special lecture, she will present her latest research findings in an easy-to-understand manner. We sincerely hope you will attend and engage in lively discussion.
